Christmas Cards 2013 #8

Hi! Christmas is going to be here really quickly and hopefully this post will give you some ideas for any last minute cards you need to get done. So, for this post, I thought I should share the cards that I did with the remaining silver chevron paper that I mentioned here. First up!

Using gold glitter glue for the border, I tried to make it as close to the corners as possible to create a fuller look. The snowman and word ‘Christmas’ are from echo park paper co. – Reflections Christmas collection. I used red glitter glue to go over the ‘Christmas’ to create more effect. The word ‘blessed’ is from my & my BIG ideas – Red and Pink Glitter collection.

For this card, I printed the borders with the words ‘Merry Christmas’ in the font Volutes. The snowman and stars are from Pentaloo’s Merry Christmas dazzlers – Snowmen and Traditional Christmas dazzlers – Northern Stars collections repectively. I really love how the snowmen are sitting on ‘snow’. HAHA!

In this next card, the trees are from Studio Calico – Ephemera Pack and the sentiment is from echo park paper co. – Tis the Season collection. And lastly!

The remaining silver chevron paper was used in this card. Using green twine to go around the silver paper, it was tied into a bow. It was then pasted on a cardstock and the sides were trimmed to fit the size of the silver paper. The christmas tree here is also from echo park paper co. – Reflections Christmas collection and the words are from 7gypsies – Postale alphabet collection.

So that’s how I used up the entire 12×12 silver chevron paper! Hope you all found some inspiration in this post!

Christmas Cards 2013 #2

Hi! Today, I’m back with another Christmas card! ((:

This card is pretty straight forward. I used buttons from the collection I have, to create the shape of a triangle to be the ‘tree’. The star right on top is from Petaloo and I used some twine to form the trunk. I think the difficult part about this card was to fit the buttons properly and arrange them into the ideal shape, but it was great fun to do it and there was a sense of accomplishment once it’s pasted nicely!

So, this is the card I’ve got to share today! Hope you liked it!
