Christmas Cards 2013 #9

I have some BLUE christmas cards to share today!

I started out doing this card, though as you can see, I’m really really bad at stamping. But I still like the design, so ignore the smudge and know that what I’m really sharing is the design! HAHA! The snowflakes are from Martha Stewart Crafts – Wonderland Snowflake Embellishments, and I cut the blue squares based on the size of the snowflakes.

From there, I cut out more blue squares, did some trimming and contemplated on what I can do with them. So based on that chipboard that I got a number of years ago, I fiddled around and got this! The border was added with blue glitter glue and some embellishments were added to the corners.

Another blue card is this! I used the blue glitter glue for the borders again then pasted a blue paper on for the background. Snowflakes from various embellishment sets that I have were scattered around. The sentiment is from echo park paper co. – Reflections Christmas collection and the snowman is from Pentaloo – Merry Christmas dazzlers collection.

So this are the BLUE cards that I’ve got to share! Hope you got some inspiration for a BLUE Christmas! ((:

Christmas Cards 2013 #8

Hi! Christmas is going to be here really quickly and hopefully this post will give you some ideas for any last minute cards you need to get done. So, for this post, I thought I should share the cards that I did with the remaining silver chevron paper that I mentioned here. First up!

IMG_9917

Using gold glitter glue for the border, I tried to make it as close to the corners as possible to create a fuller look. The snowman and word ‘Christmas’ are from echo park paper co. – Reflections Christmas collection. I used red glitter glue to go over the ‘Christmas’ to create more effect. The word ‘blessed’ is from my & my BIG ideas – Red and Pink Glitter collection.

For this card, I printed the borders with the words ‘Merry Christmas’ in the font Volutes. The snowman and stars are from Pentaloo’s Merry Christmas dazzlers – Snowmen and Traditional Christmas dazzlers – Northern Stars collections repectively. I really love how the snowmen are sitting on ‘snow’. HAHA!

In this next card, the trees are from Studio Calico – Ephemera Pack and the sentiment is from echo park paper co. – Tis the Season collection. And lastly!

The remaining silver chevron paper was used in this card. Using green twine to go around the silver paper, it was tied into a bow. It was then pasted on a cardstock and the sides were trimmed to fit the size of the silver paper. The christmas tree here is also from echo park paper co. – Reflections Christmas collection and the words are from 7gypsies – Postale alphabet collection.

So that’s how I used up the entire 12×12 silver chevron paper! Hope you all found some inspiration in this post!

Christmas Cards 2013 #4

I’m back with another 2 christmas cards to share! I’m sharing them at the same time as they are similar and I used the same silver background. HEE!

I used the silver chevron paper I got from Amy Tangerine and you’ll see bits and pieces of it around my other cards too. I really love how versatile it is and how it suits my needs for my christmas cards. So anyways, I kept this card pretty simple. The snowman is from { my mind’s eye } Winter Wonderland series. The word ‘magic’ is from Studio Calico and ‘season’ is from an alphabet sticker I’ve had for awhile in my collection.

For this other card, I used the snowman tag from something I got a few years back, so I can’t seem to find it online anymore. And I pasted the alphabet stickers on top for the sentiment.

These cards are fairly easy to do. I hope you all like it and would find some inspiration! ((:

Christmas Cards 2013 #1

So as mentioned in my previous post, I’ve started making Christmas cards!! And now I’ll share with all of you the cards that I’ve made. Some of them are re-creations, while others are from my own imaginations. My initial plan for this year’s cards was to use the colors blue, silver and gold only. However, I realised that most of the Christmas material were in red and green. I tried my best, but you’ll see that I wasn’t able to stick to the plan. HAHA! Anyways, hope you all will like them and find some inspiration!

FIrst up!

I got my card stocks from Grant Studios, they’re priced at S$19.90 at PaperMarket and came in a box of 50. I used shimmery blue thread in the color ‘Twilight’ from We R Memory Keepers and went round the light blue snow flaked paper I chose. Something that you might want to note, while bringing the thread round the paper, it is important to scotch tape them near the edge of the paper at the back. If not, the thread will become loose and the shape won’t stay. The snowman is from Petaloo and the sentiment is from Creative Imaginations.

I really liked the design, and so I made another one!

The golden thread here is in the color ‘Goldilocks’ and I added the 2 small studs on the sentiment to make it look better (hopefully). HAHA.

So this is what I have to share with you all for the first Christmas Cards post! Hope you have enjoyed what I’ve got to share today! ((:
